EQUIPMENT DETAILS
A large number of pipe joints are required for pipe construction.
The current continuous winding FRP pipe connection mainly adopts sleeve-type flexible connection, and the flexible material is EPDM rubber ring.
Advantages of this connection mode:
1. On-site socket connection, convenient construction;
2. Good sealing performance and no leakage;
3. The pipeline has allowable translation, and no expansion joint is required in the pipeline;
4. A certain deflection angle of the pipeline is allowed, and the impact resistance of the pipeline is enhanced.
Maximum allowable translation of flexible sleeve joint
Take 12 m/pressure pipe as an example, the allowable translation of sleeve joint is 0.3% of the standard length of pipe; The maximum allowable translation of the joint is 36mm. Example: the linear expansion coefficient of glass fiber reinforced plastic pipeline is estimated at 30 × 10-3 mm/m ℃, 12 meters/root, and the temperature difference between winter and summer is 20 degrees. the calculated expansion amount is: 30 × 10-3 mm/m ℃ × 12m × 20 ℃ = 7.2mm the maximum allowable translation amount of sleeve joint is sufficient to compensate the expansion amount caused by temperature, and no expansion joint is required in the pipeline.
Sleeve Joint Load Test According to ISO Standard:
Continuous Winding FRP Pipe Joint According to ISO 8639 of International Organization for Standardization: 2016 Test Method for Sealing Performance and Structural Design Verification of Flexible Joint of Glass Fiber Reinforced Thermosetting Plastic Pipe and Pipe Fittings;
⑴ Test the external pressure change (ISO 8639:2016,8.2), at the maximum allowable translation, keep the negative pressure drop for 1h not more than 0.008 MPa.
⑵ Test the tightness of the limit state (ISO 8639:2016,8.3). When the maximum allowable translation and the maximum allowable deflection angle occur simultaneously, the continuous pressure of 2.0 × PN shall be maintained for 24 h without damage and leakage of the joint.
⑶ Test the cyclic internal pressure (ISO 8639:2016,8.5) under lateral load. When the maximum allowable translation is used and the interface bears a lateral load of 20DN, the cyclic internal pressure increases from 0 to 1.5 ×PN and then returns to 0. Each cycle of 10 cycles lasts for 1.5 min ~ 3min, and the joint is free of damage and leakage.
(4) Test the hydrostatic internal pressure (ISO 8639:2016,8.4) under lateral load, and the maximum allowable translation. At the same time, the interface bears a lateral load of 20DN, and the continuous pressure is 2.0 × PN to keep the joint free of damage and leakage for 24h.
